Netflix has set the release date for The Monster of Florence (aka Il mostro), a new true-crime drama limited series from Italy. Check out the teaser.

Netflix’s The Monster of Florence — not to be confused with the same-titled, same-subject limited series starring Antonio Banderas — is a four-episode true-crime drama that revolves around one of the longest and most complex Italian criminal investigations: the hunt for the Monster of Florence, the first and most brutal serial killer in the country’s history.
Based on real events and ongoing legal proceedings and investigations, The Monster of Florence is told from the point of view of the possible monsters, individuals who could be the culprit behind eight double murders, all committed with a .22 caliber Beretta, over the course of seventeen years — a series of killings that terrorized the nation.
The Monster of Florence, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Wednesday, October 22, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
The cast includes Marco Bullitta (The Mute Man of Sardinia), Valentino Mannias, Francesca Olia (Timor), Liliana Bottone (Generation 56K), Giacomo Fadda (Lussu), Antonio Tintis (Don Matteo), and Giordano Mannu.
A production of The Apartment (a Fremantle company) and AlterEgo, The Monster of Florence is directed by Stefano Sollima (Suburra, Romanzo Criminale), who created the series with Leonardo Fasoli (Gomorrah, ZeroZeroZero). The producers are Lorenzo Mieli (My Brilliant Friend), Stefano Sollima, and Gina Gardini (Suburra: Blood on Rome).
