Prime Video released today a post-credits teaser of Citadel: Diana, the next series in the “Citadel Spyverse,” starring Matilda De Angelis.
Matilda De Angelis (The Law According to Lidia Poët, Leonardo, The Undoing) stars as the central character in Citadel: Diana, which was locally created, produced, and filmed in Italy. It will debut globally exclusively on Prime Video in 2024.
The first chapter in the Citadel Spyverse is Citadel, the action-packed spy thriller starring Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Quantico), whose second season is slated to begin production later in 2023. The Season 1 finale dropped last Friday (May 26), which saw the agents of Citadel discovering the identity of the mole who brought down the agency at the hands of rival syndicate Manticore. Betrayals were uncovered and questions were answered, and the consequences that unfolded created ripple effects that will be felt throughout the Spyverse.
After the finale episode, an explosive post-credits teaser of Citadel: Diana was revealed, offering a look at what’s to come as the Citadel Spyverse expands with a new series.
The cast of Citadel: Diana includes Lorenzo Cervasio (Paradise), Maurizio Lombardi (Monterossi), Julia Piaton (Family Business), Thekla Reuten (Warrior Nun), Giordana Faggiano (Murders at Barlume), Daniele Paoloni (Marilyn’s Eyes), Bernhard Schütz (Barbarians), and Filippo Nigro (Suburra: Blood on Rome).
Citadel: Diana comes from Cattleya (ZeroZeroZero, Gomorrah)—part of ITV Studios—and showrunner and executive producer Gina Gardini, with Riccardo Tozzi, Marco Chimenz, and Giovanni Stabilini also serving as executive producers and Emanuele Savoini as co-executive producer. AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Ostot, Scott Nemes, and David Weil executive produce on Citadel: Diana and all series within the global Citadel universe. Midnight Radio executive produces Citadel: Diana and all series within the global Citadel universe.
Citadel: Diana is directed by Arnaldo Catinari (Suburra: Blood on Rome) and developed by series head writer Alessandro Fabbri (1992, 1993, 1994), who wrote the series with Ilaria Bernardini, Laura Colella, Gianluca Bernardini, and Giordana Mari.
