Production has started on Fidelity, the latest Netflix Original series from Italy.
Based on the novel of the same name by Marco Missiroli, a finalist at the 73rd Strega Prize and a winner of the Strega Prize Giovani, Fidelity (Fedeltà) tells a story of marital fidelity, specifically that of Carlo and Margherita, a young couple who needs to face the consequences of an alleged betrayal. Their relationship becomes a symbol of fidelity, not only as a couple but also in the personal choices made every day.
Michele Riondino (The War Is Over, The Young Montalbano) portrays Carlo and Lucrezia Guidone (Luna Nera, Thou Shalt Not Kill) plays Margherita in the six-episode drama written by Alessandro Fabbri (1992/1993/1994), Elisa Amoruso (Passione sinistra), and Laura Colella (The Trial).
Produced by BiBi Film, the series is directed by Andrea Molaioli (Suburra: Blood on Rome) and Stefano Cipani (My Brother Chases Dinosaurs). It is being filmed in Milan, Rimini, and Rome.
Fidelity, a Netflix Original series, is expected to arrive globally on the streaming service by the end of 2021.
Stay tuned for updates.
