MHz Choice has set the North American premiere date for the Italian detective drama, Stucky.

Loosely based on the “Gli alianti” book series by Fulvio Ervas, this detective drama stars Giuseppe Battiston (Bread and Tulips, Moon Landing), who reprises his role as Stucky from The Prosecco Murders, a film based on the author’s novel, Finché c’è Prosecco c’è speranza.
Who is Stucky? He’s the chief police inspector at the police headquarters in Treviso in northern Italy. For viewers, he’s also like an Italian version of a favorite American detective, Columbo (a signature role for Peter Falk if ever there was one), complete with a rumpled trench coat and ever-present cigar. And as in the Columbo TV series, the crime and the culprit are revealed from the off in Stucky, too, leaving Stucky to employ his sharp instincts and dry wit to unearth hidden secrets, untangle strange and gnarly crimes, and nab the killer.
Costars include Barbora Bobulova (The King, Portobello), Diego Ribon (Imma Tataranni, Drops of God), and Alessio Praticò (The General’s Men, The Miracle).
Stucky premieres in the US and Canada on Tuesday, July 21, exclusively on MHz Choice and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Channels.
