Netflix has set the worldwide premiere date for The Asset, a new crime thriller series from Denmark. Check out the teaser.
Originally titled The Legend in English (still called Legenden in Danish), The Asset stars Clara Dessau (Baby Fever, Carmen Curlers) as Tea, an aspiring intelligence agent. Tea has overcome a checkered past, but her profile makes her perfect for an assignment: to go undercover and infiltrate a brutal criminal enterprise that has eluded the intelligence service for some time.
Adopting a completely new identity and posing as a jeweler, Tea befriends Ashley (Maria Cordsen, Darkness: Those Who Kill, The New Nurses), the criminal mastermind’s wife, to gather crucial information. But as Tea gets closer to Ashley and witnesses the grim reality of her life under her husband’s control and within his criminal web, doubts begin to emerge about where Tea’s loyalty lies.
Costarring Afshin Firouzi (Royalteen: Princess Margrethe, The Shift) and Nicolas Bro (The Bridge, Thin Ice), amongst others, The Asset, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Monday, October 27, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
