Netflix has announced the start of filming in Berlin of Bone Palace (working title), a new German spy thriller series.
Bone Palace (wt) centers on former Federal Intelligence Service (BND) agents Simon (Felix Kramer, Dark, Money Murder Zurich, Dogs of Berlin) and Meret (Susanne Wolff, Tatort: Cologne, Tatort: Borowski, Tatort: Lindholm). They run a safe house called The Nest, a refuge hidden in the middle of Berlin for those who must not be found.
For a long time, The Nest was also a safe haven for ex-spies Simon and Meret — until their past catches up with them. When a threat they thought was eliminated reappears in their lives, they suddenly have to hide from hit men, Russian agents, the BND, ex-lovers, and a lot of people they have wronged, all while trying to keep themselves and their daughter safe and their marriage intact.
The cast of the six-episode series also includes Samuel Finzi (Allmen), Natalia Belitski (Perfume), Andreas Pietschmann (Dark), Maja Bons (Tatort), Genija Rykova (Tatort), Henry Hübchen (The Interpreter of Silence), Seyneb Saleh (Dogs of Berlin), Laurence Rupp (Barbarians), Sina Martens (Tatort), Anand Batbileg Chuluunbaatar (You Are Wanted), and Aaron Altaras (Berlin Legal).
A production of Gaumont (Lupin), Bone Palace (wt) is directed by Lennart Ruff (Barbarians) and Philipp Leinemann (The Signal), with scripts by creator and lead writer Paul Coates (Red Election) and writers Kim Zimmermann (Divided We Stand) and Alexander Seibt (Wilder). Andreas Bareiss and Sabine de Mardt are executive producers, with Lina Mareike Zopfs serving as producer.
Stay tuned for updates.
