The new French crime drama series The Source has premiered globally on Prime Video.
Set in 2005, in a Parisian suburb plagued by riots, The Source (Ourika) follows two people on opposite sides of the law.
Driss (Adam Bessa, Hanna, Extraction) is the youngest son of the Jebli family, which reigns supreme over cannabis trafficking in these parts. While the neighborhoods are burning, a big narcotics raid blows up the clan, forcing Driss to take over the family business, even though he was planning a career in finance.
Facing off against him is William (Noham Edje, Hanna, Forever Young), a novice and ambitious young neighborhood cop, who is determined to bring Driss down.
The Source premiered globally today, Thursday, March 28, as a seven-episode binge, exclusively on Prime Video.
The series costars Salim Kechiouche (Ganglands, Spiral), Max Gomis (The Gravity), Slimane Dazi (Oussekine), Sawsan Abès (Munch), and series co-creator Élie Yaffa (aka French rapper Booba) in his first acting role.
