HBO Max has set the multi-territory premiere date for its new Swedish Original comedy series Lust. Check out the trailer!
Following the February 14 world premiere of Lust at Berlinale Series during the Berlin International Film Festival, HBO Max has set its premiere date for this new Swedish comedy series.
The eight-episode Lust will premiere in its entirety on Friday, March 18, on all HBO Max platforms across 61 territories, including the US, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.
An outrageous and unabashedly honest comedy, Lust follows four middle(ish)-aged women in Stockholm who are struggling to keep their libidos alive in a sexually frustrating world. It stars Sofia Helin (The Bridge, Atlantic Crossing), Anja Lundqvist (Heder, Gåsmamman), Julia Dufvenius (Blinded, Missing), and Elin Klinga (The Unlikely Murderer, A Class Apart).
When public health researcher Anette (Helin) starts asking women in their mid-40s and up about their sex lives for the government’s “Sex Is a Highway to Health” study, she, her sister, and her closest friends begin questioning their own sex lives. How has the decadent “Swedish Sin” been replaced by the mundane realities of Thursday sex, careers, kids, marriage, divorce, and the never-ending struggle to stay young, fit, and sexy?

Costars include Danilo Bejarano (Agent Hamilton), Johan Widerberg (Spring Tide), Björn Bengtsson (Thicker than Water), Jonas Malmsjö (The Sandhamn Murders), Magnus Roosmann (Young Royals), and Roshi Hoss (We Got This).
Co-created by Frans Milisic Wiklund (Alex), Åsa Kalmér (Hammarvik), Julia Dufvenius, Sofia Helin, and Anja Lundqvist, Lust is written by Wiklund and directed by Ella Lemhagen (I’ll Be Home for Christmas). The series is produced by Sandra Harms and Karl Fredrik Ulfung, Miso Film Sverige AB, for HBO Max. The executive producers for HBO Max are Christian Wikander and Camilla Curtis.
