Based on Nicola Larder (The Tunnel) and Hans Rosenfeldt’s (Bron/Broen/The Bridge) global hit series Marcella, Rebecca stars Anne Marivin (Call My Agent!) as the titular detective who, in Season 1, tries to catch a serial killer.

Six years after abandoning the hunt for a serial killer and quitting her job, Rebecca returns to the police force as a way to cope with the depression that is eating away at her and alienating her from her family. Back in the Criminal Investigations department, she investigates a spate of violent murders that all carry the same signature, and becomes convinced the serial killer has resurfaced.

Obsessed by the case, Rebecca relentlessly pursues the killer, but a series of crippling blackouts and memory loss hamper her efforts. She also learns of her husband’s betrayal — and soon finds herself directly involved in a murder case… as a suspect…

Written by Delphine Labouret (Perfect Murders), and Didier Le Pêcheur (Les innocents), who also directs, the Season 1 cast includes Benjamin Biolay (Captaine Marleau), Clotilde Courau (Fear by the Lake), Samir Guesmi (The Returned), Grégory Montel (Call My Agent!), Valérie Karsenti (Maison close), and Salim Kechiouche (Lupin), amongst others.

Rebecca premieres in the US in its entirety on Wednesday, January 19, exclusively on Hulu.
