They are The Silence of Water, Rosy Abate, Codename Solo, Love and Sacrifice, and Winds of Passion.

All five programs will be made available on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel in the US and Canada, and on the Walter Presents channel on Comcast Xfinity X1 and Roku in the US. The Silence of Water will debut in Australia on Stan and in New Zealand via TVNZ.

Said Walter Iuzzolino, curator and co-founder of Walter Presents:

“Mediaset have a long legacy of bringing popular and entertaining programming to Italian audiences, and with an ever-growing appetite for Italian content worldwide, I have no doubt that English-speaking audiences will eat up these five unique series.”

Added Claudia Marra, International Sales Manager of Mediaset Italy:

“We are excited to start this new collaboration with Walter Presents, a true authority in the international series landscape, and we are happy to have some Italian dramas spread in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It is a good moment for Italian content to travel and we trust audiences will appreciate our taste.”

Synopses of the shows are as follows:

The Silence of Water (Il silenzio dell’acqua)

The Silence of Water is a mystery-crime drama that centers on the disappearance of a teenager, prompting an investigation that ends up shining a light on the dark side of a small seaside village. False tracks, hidden truths, and secret relationships — nothing is quite what it seems.

Rosy Abate

Rosy Abate, a spinoff of the crime drama Anti-Mafia Squad, tells the story of Rosy (Giulia Michelini), who is presumed dead in an explosion. However, she’s actually living in Liguria under a new identity. But her new life is turned upside down when she learns that her son, like her, is still alive.

Love and Sacrifice (Sacrificio d’amore)

Set during Great War, period drama Love and Sacrifice revolves around two passionate love stories and one tale of great sacrifice amongst the marble quarries in Carrara.

Winds of Passion (Furore – Capitolo secondo)

Northerners against southerners. High society against common folk. Self-determination against the will of others. All this plus murder, revenge and subterfuge, and especially love, drive the 1960s-set family saga Winds of Passion.

Stay tuned for updates about when these shows will makes their North American premieres.
