Fans of The Rain, rejoice. Netflix has announced the premiere date for the third and final season of its hit Danish Original series.
Season 3 of The Rain, one of the most viewed non-English-language Netflix Original series, premieres globally on Thursday, August 6, 2020, exclusively on Netflix.
The six-episode third season picks up where the second left off. Years after the rain decimated the population of Scandinavia, Simone (Alba August, Below the Surface) and Rasmus (Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes) find themselves at odds on how to save humanity. Rasmus wants to infect everyone with the same beta version of the virus that turned him into a superhuman, while Simone insists that there must be a cure. Will they manage to put their differences aside and do the right thing?
Costars in Season 3 include Mikkel Boe Følsgaard (The Legacy) as Martin, Sonny Lindberg (The Legacy) as Jean, Lukas Løkken (One-Two-Three Now!) as Patrick, Clara Rosager (Journal 64) as Sarah, Evin Ahmad (Snabba Cash) as Kira, Nathalie Madueño (Follow the Money) as Fie, and Johannes Kuhnke (The Hunters) as Sten. The new cast members are Rex Leonard (Ninna) as Daniel, Cecilia Loffredo (Valhalla) as Luna, Henrik Birch (The Killing) as Lars, and Annemette Andersen (Norskov) as Trine.
The Rain is a Miso Film production created by Christian Potalivo (Dicte), Jannik Tai Mosholt (Rita), and Esben Toft Jacobsen (Drengen i kufferten).
