The original French Call My Agent!, the Best Comedy award winner at the 2021 International Emmy® Awards, is an excellent series, worth every minute you’ll spend (or have spent) watching its four seasons. So popular is it that multiple local versions have been produced, including the Italian Call My Agent – Italia, the British Ten Percent, and the South Korean Behind Every Star, amongst others.

Now we have Call My Agent Berlin. Set in Germany’s capital, this new comedy-drama series follows the staff at the Stern Talent Agency, where celebs, drama, and intrigue are part of daily life in and out of the office. After the death of the company’s founder, the agency is on the verge of bankruptcy and faces collapse. If the place is going to survive (not to mention their careers), the agents must do what needs must to keep their existing roster of stars, bring in new talent, and secure some smart deals for their clients. They’re a talented (and manipulative) bunch themselves, who will go through hell and high water for their bread and butter, so every battle they fight brings the agency closer to triumph — or ruin.

Call My Agent Berlin, a Hulu Original, premieres in the US as a six-episode binge tomorrow, Friday, September 12, exclusively on Hulu and the Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max bundle. (You can add it to your watchlist now.) The six-episode series will launch as a Disney+ Original in international markets.

The cast includes Gabrielle Scharnitzky (Those About to Die, The Nordic Murders), Lucas Gregorowicz (Pagan Peak, Woman of the Dead), Michael Klammer (Cassandra, Sam – A Saxon), Benny Opoku-Arthur (The Head, Django), Dana Herfurth (Wolf Hall, House of Promises), Janina Elkin (The Signal, The Queen’s Gambit), Karin Hanczewski (Tatort, Parlement), and Taynara Wolf (The Palace, Tatort).

Guest starring in the series as themselves are Iris Berben (Paradise, The Typist), Moritz Bleibtreu (Blackout, Shades of Guilt), Nilam Farooq (Where’s Wanda?, The Four of Us), Veronica Ferres (The Bricklayer, Tatort: Munich), Max von der Groeben (The Interpreter of Silence, Hinterland), Florence Kasumba (Deutschland 86/89, Criminal: Germany), Frederick Lau (Brick, 4 Blocks), Heiner Lauterbach (The Interpreter of Silence, Line of Separation), Heike Makatsch (Where’s Wanda?, Tatort), Raul Richter (Singles’ Diaries, Offscreen), Katja Riemann (Our Miracle Years, Tatort: Schimanski), Alicia von Rittberg (Becoming Elizabeth, Charité), Emilia Schüle (Marie Antoinette, Berlin Dance School), Kostja Ullmann (Where’s Wanda?, Paradise), Christian Ulmen (Tatort: Weimar, Intimate), and Jürgen Vogel (Buried Alive, Blochin).
