Hulu has set the US premiere date for Bref.2, the second season of the hit French comedy series Bref.

Bref. follows the life of the show’s nameless narrator, a 40-ish guy who’s neither a complete Peter Pan nor a fully-functioning responsible adult, played by series creator Kyan Khojandi. By virtue of his decisions, he finds himself in the same situation over and over again — whether it’s being unemployed, struggling for money, or having love life problems.
Bref. launched in 2011 and instantly left its mark with its ultra-short format (two-minute episodes), punchy humor, and groundbreaking narrative style. Tackling existential dilemmas and the absurdities of daily life with boldness, the show captured the zeitgeist of an entire generation, becoming a cultural phenomenon and a cult classic, and earning a Globes de Cristal Awards nomination for Best Television Film or Television Series.
This year, we have the six-episode second season, which brings back nearly everything that made the series a success: a sharp look at life and situations that are both hilarious and nail-biting — but with episodes that are thirty minutes long, allowing for deeper exploration of the challenges faced by the narrator as well as his complex relationships with family, friends, lovers, colleagues, and neighbors, all while maintaining the fast-paced storytelling that made the show famous.
Bref.2, a Hulu Original Series, premieres in the US on Wednesday, March 26, exclusively on Hulu. Episodes will be shown in French with English subtitles. (The English-dubbed version will be released at a later date.)
In addition to Kyan Khojandi (Bloqués), the cast includes Baptiste Lecaplain (Nice Girls), Alice David (Consent), Bérengère Krief (Syndrome E), Keyvan Khojandi (Cherif), Mikaël Alhawi (Candice Renoir), Laura Felpin (Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom), Jean-Paul Rouve (La Vie en Rose), Alexandre Astier (Kaamelott), and Doria Tillier (The Origin of Evil).
If you haven’t seen Bref., most of the Season 1 episodes are currently streaming on YouTube in French with no English subtitles.
