HBO Max has announced the US premiere date for the third season of the hit Italian mafia crime drama Gomorrah.
HBO Max will launch Season 3 of Gomorrah (Gomorra: La serie), a Max Original series, for the first time ever to US audiences, on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
The third season finds Genny Savastano (Salvatore Esposito, Fargo) taking control and ultimately ruling over Naples and Rome. Within his network, two women rise to power: Annalisa, aka “Scianel,” (Cristina Donadio, The Man Without Gravity), a key drug pusher and a natural leader, and Patrizia (Cristiana Dell’Anna, Trust), one of Genny’s most faithful foot soldiers.
When Ciro (Marco D’Amore, The Immortal) forms a new partnership with the young and ambitious Enzo (Arturo Muselli, The Promised Life), a light that once vanished from Ciro’s eyes reappears. The former street-level drug dealers cast their net far beyond the city of Naples and the borders of Italy. Then when Genny, Ciro, and Enzo are about to make peace, Enzo demands a sacrifice.
Costars in Season 3 include Loris De Luna (Medici), Ivana Lotito (Romulus), Gianfranco Gallo (Don Matteo), Carlo Cerciello (Stolen Days), Pasquale Esposito (Don Matteo), Carlo Caracciolo (The Bastards of Pizzofalcone), and Andrea Di Maria (Lampedusa).
Season 1 and Season 2 are currently available for streaming on HBO Max.
