Announced a year ago this month, Snabba Cash is the new Netflix Original series from acclaimed screenwriter Oskar Söderlund (Rebecka Martinsson, Greyzone, The Fat and the Angry) and best-selling author Jens Lapidus, whose “Stockholm Noir” crime trilogy was adapted into the “Snabba Cash” or “Easy Money” feature film franchise starring Joel Kinnaman, including Easy Money, Easy Money: Hard to Kill, and Easy Money: Life Deluxe.

Now fellow Swede Evin Ahmad (The Rain, The Restaurant, Quicksand) is set to play the lead role in Snabba Cash the TV series. No details about her character were provided.

The series is set ten years after the events in the “Easy Money” film trilogy. The hunger for status and money is stronger than ever in Stockholm, where both the entrepreneurial jet set and the criminal underworld have become even more brutal, chaotic and ruthless. When these two worlds collide, loyalty, friendships and business partners will all be tested in the never-ending quest for easy money.

A production of SF Studios (Rita, The Lawyer, Those Who Kill, Easy Money), Snabba Cash is produced by Nicklas Wikström Nicastro (A Man Called Ove, The Lawyer, Alex).

Stay tuned for updates.
